The Opportunity

We are looking for a Legal Counsel - Investor Relations & Compliance (Junior or Associate) based in either Stockholm or Gothenburg to join Surgical Science at an exciting stage of our growth journey.

You will report to the General Counsel and work closely with the CFO, supporting listed-company compliance, governance, and Investor Relations execution. One of your first major assignments will be to support our in-house work related to the planned transfer of our listing from Nasdaq First North Growth Market to Nasdaq Main Market.

This role is designed for a top-tier legal graduate with 1–3 years of experience who is motivated by breadth, responsibility, and long-term development. You may come from a law firm, Big Four, or in-house environment and are looking to be closer to the business, decision-making, and mission.

Prior Investor Relations experience is not required. Instead, we are looking for someone with a strong legal and/or compliance foundation who is intellectually curious, highly structured, and eager to take ownership and grow into the role over time.

What you will do

You will work at the intersection of legal, compliance, and Investor Relations, supporting Surgical Science as a listed company while helping shape how we operate as we grow.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting and developing listed-company compliance and governance practices, in close collaboration with the General Counsel and CFO.
• Contributing to compliance documentation, internal policies, and processes related to being a listed company in Sweden.
• Supporting the internal execution of the planned listing transfer to Nasdaq Main Market, including coordination, documentation support, and internal stakeholder management, in close collaboration with our external legal advisers leading the transaction with the CFO.
• Supporting corporate legal matters and related documentation, including commercial and contract-related work where needed.
• Contributing to the development and continuous improvement of legal templates, policies, and ways of working.
• Supporting Investor Relations execution, including coordination of IR activities, maintenance of investor and analyst records, and administration related to disclosures and insider lists.
• Assisting with IR materials and external reporting, including interim and annual report production, as well as the investor section of the company website.

This is not a static role. As the company grows, the role will evolve, and you will be encouraged to take on broader responsibility, deepen your expertise, and shape the role based on your strengths and interests.

Your background

• Swedish law degree (Juristexamen / LL.M., minimum 270 HP) or a Swedish economics degree (Ekonomie kandidat eller Civilekonom).
• You have 1–3 years of experience in a relevant role for example in law firms, Big Four, or in-house legal/compliance function in areas such as IPOs in Sweden, capital markets, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical skills combined with a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, written and spoken.
• High integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
